What is Trex Decking?

Reliable General Contracting

TREX® VS. EARLY-GENERATION COMPOSITE

Composite decking has come a long way over the past two decades and Trex was one of the first pioneers in the industry. Trex also evolved the composite industry by engineering the most significant breakthrough in composite technology—the Trex high-performance, weather-resistant shell. Without it, early-generation composites didn’t come close to the fade & stain resistance that Trex high-performance boards guarantees - 25 years!

At Reliable General Contracting, we have been installing a lot of Trex® composite decks around Montco.  What home and business owners love best about composite decking is no sanding, staining, or painting—a little soap and water or a quick power wash is all the maintenance required. Vs. wood decks that require constant care -composite decking is durable and longer lasting. When you look at all the companies and composite deck materials, we are most impressed with the service, quality, variations, and engineering of Trex.

Unlike wood, Trex® composite decking won't:

  • ROT, WARP, OR SPLINTER
  • NEED SEASONAL PAINTING, SEALING OR STAINING
  • BECOME FOOD FOR TERMITES
  • FADE OR STAIN

A NATURAL LOOK WHILE SAVING THE TREES

We love Trex because it still offers all the charms of real wood. Trex composite decking is made from 95% recycled materials like plastic film and wood scrap. In fact, Trex has never had to take down one tree to make any of its products, which is important because we could all be environmentally conscious.

DESIGN OPTIONS FROM RELIABLE GENERAL CONTRACTING

Our goal is to create the space you envision while meeting all of your needs. Trex® plays well with water, so it’s a great choice for a pool deck and the railings can handle wet towels. We love creating a space where you know you will be dining since composite decks are easy to clean and they can withstand the constant moving of chair and tables. Creating unique shapes and benches that best fits your space is what we will discuss during your consult, but mostly anything is possible. We also love using composite inside sun rooms. It's still durable to withstand the constant sun and traffic, looks natural, and will last for 25+ years.

If you are ready for a new outdoor (or indoor) space and want to get on board with composite decking and specifically our favorite, Trex, give us a call and let's make a plan!
