Taking your backsplash to the ceiling works well in areas where wall cabinets do not impede and we have the space to use.  Areas near windows, behind open shelving, or behind a decorative range hood can add texture and modern appeal opening up your kitchen even more. Patterned backsplahses go great with less busy countertops like quartz vs. granite. Whether the pattern is in the tile itself or the way the tile is installed, simpler quartz patterns don’t clash with backsplash tiles the way that busier granite can and adds a nice visual to your kitchen's design.
